Purpose of the Role & Team Profile

The position of Lead Architect is a key strategic position at Informa Markets LATAM and will report to the Director of Strategy, Architecture and Innovation in Markets Technology and will be part of the Unified Technology Architecture Community. The Lead Architect is accountable for developing the Informa Markets LATAM Transformation and Technology Strategy and priorities for a division. The team supports the work of Technology Business Partners, alongside Business Architecture, to identify opportunities to exploit unified technology community strategies that benefit differentiation, innovation, and customer experiences. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility / Accountability 

  

Strategy, Planning & Transformation 

Working closely with divisional brand teams and Technology Partner, the Lead Architect will maintain and develop an ongoing three-year LATAM Markets divisional systems capability roadmap that aligns with Informa and Informa Markets LATAM business goals. The role will focus on capturing all technical requirements of Informa Markets LATAM and in conjunction with the Technology Business Partners, mapping technology strategic priorities, demand, and roadmaps for future deployment. Raise awareness of the Technology Strategy across Informa Markets LATAM.

 

Ideation & Scoping – Provide target architecture and roadmaps knowledge to assist with business case development, leveraging strategic solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits). Helping to improve and establish key customer channels/platforms to enable Informa Markets LATAM to deliver its virtual, hybrid and physical events, pursue new revenue models and create product offerings. Provides divisional or divisional leadership / guidance to support solution implementation including managing requests for changes and deviations from standard strategy.  

 

Design & Governance – Supports projects or change initiatives through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles. Aligns solutions with enterprise and solution architecture standards. Ensures that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood and employed in solution development, ensuring relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are correctly applied. Leads the development of solution architectures in specific division and ensures that appropriate technical resources are made available. Ensures the selection of any future technology solution aligns to the Technology Infrastructure roadmap for Informa Markets LATAM and the Informa Enterprise Roadmap for the Division.

 

Key Outputs and Outcomes  

·    Participate in driving greater effectiveness of the Architecture community.  

·    Success will be measured by the division’s adoption and migration to strategic technologies and the tools, practices and processes which allow Informa Markets LATAM to better address customer needs, support higher value and more efficient service provision to the markets they serve and are secure and compliant. 

·    Build a strong, high functioning and trusted partnership both with the business and TS&S. 

·    Delivering a divisional view of the architecture roadmap and maintaining a stable, viable architecture. 

 

Requisitos e qualificações

Experience & Qualifications 

·    Hands-on experience on designing modern solutions to enable self-service and automation.  

·    Substantial experience at expert level across one or more Architecture specialisms for contemporary enterprise class platforms, including customer engagement platforms, Sales, Marketing, Fulfilment, Self-Service, Commerce and Financial Management capabilities, that integrate cloud native services and bespoke legacy platforms with customer experience channels, services, and third-party platforms as well as fulfilment platforms and core shared services.  

·    Experience in a media business or equivalent B2B organisation. 

·    Ability to deliver customer facing solutions in partnership with colleagues, in a complex, matrixed structure, delivering and governing complex architectures, balancing conceptual thinking with pragmatic and hands-on engagement.  

·    Experience of working with Product Owners / Leadership to align enterprise architecture to strategic plans and commercial objectives. 

·    Experience with Design Thinking and mobilising teams / skills to deliver Minimum Viable Products and prototypes. 

·    Experience in performing enterprise architecture role within Agile and non-Agile ways of working and associated frameworks in the delivery of digital products and services. Integration, rationalisation and simplification of systems and products.  

·    Team leadership experience of groups over 5 composed of direct and indirect resources distributed across several locations.  

·    A background developing technology roadmaps for business transformation against the commercial objectives of the organisation, applying a wide range of methods and tools to stimulate creativity, guide discussions, moderate collaboration, as well as develop, prototype, and experiment solutions. Commercial experience, Hands-on experience on designing modern cloud-based architectures, preferably based on AWS (Amazon Web Service). 

·    Hands-on experience on designing modern cloud-based architectures, preferably based on AWS. 

·    Fluent in English, with language skills in Spanish and Portuguese is desirable.
